Along with summer comes back to school and I wanted to send a friendly reminder to you to make sure that anyone with an overage dependant has filled out the appropriate paperwork to ensure uninterrupted coverage.
For most plans, an overage dependant is considered to be over the age of 21 and under the age of 25 and going to school full-time at an institution recognized by CRA.
If you would to double check this, please contact our office and we can get plan specific details to you. Most carriers require that you fill out a form and provide proof of enrollment of the school and/or program. This form is available on the insurer’s website or the employee may contact our office and we will be happy to send one over.
If you have any questions on dependant coverage or anything else regarding your benefit plan, please give us a call at 778.477.6700 or email service@schueler.ca. We are here to help!
